Qld Investment Corporation and Westfield, which own a 35ha site along Foxwell Road are progressing plans for the retail centre and have secured several key tenants including Myers, which is planning a 12,000spm store to be opened by 2013. The latest Government endorsement brings with it thousands of job opportunities and millions of dollars in construction, with workers descending on Coomera in waves once the soon to be completed plan is approval. The Coomera Town Centre will create a new transport-oriented CBD similar to Robina for the Gold Coast’s booming north and will comprise of high-density housing, educational facilities and a new hospital.
